Books1.org complies with 17 U.S.C. § 512 and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We respond to infringement notices and take appropriate actions under the DMCA and other relevant intellectual property laws.

If your copyrighted material, such as a thesis, publication, or online book, has been posted on Books1.org or if links to your copyrighted material appear in our search results and you wish to have this material removed, you must provide a written communication detailing the information specified below. Be aware that you could be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) if you misrepresent information on our site as infringing your copyrights. We recommend consulting an attorney for legal assistance on this matter.

Your copyright infringement claim must include the following elements:

  1. Evidence of the authorized person to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  2. Sufficient contact information so that we may contact you, including a valid email address.
  3. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, including at least one search term under which the material appears in Books1.org search results.
  4. A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

In addition to the aforementioned points, we have gathered books from various online sources. We do not claim any publishing or selling rights for the uploaded books. All the books are sourced from platforms like Facebook, Rekhta, Project Gutenberg, ManyBooks, Open Library, and Feedbooks, and are available free of charge.
